Scripture
John 14:27 (NIV)
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
John 20:19–21 (NIV)
"On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”"
Three Points
Point ONE
Peace That Is Proclaimed
He speaks it into our locked rooms
Point TWO
Peace That Is Personal
He gives what the world cannot manufacture
Point THREE
Peace That Is Permanent
A peace that outlasts every circumstance
Theme
The resurrection does not remove the locked rooms of our lives. It sends Jesus through them. The disciples were hiding behind locked doors, terrified — and Jesus stood among them anyway. That is the peace the resurrection offers: not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Christ in the middle of it.
